4. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Healthcare professionals using BurnAid are solely responsible for:

Outputs generated by BurnAid are dependent upon:

BurnAid does not guarantee that any output, calculation, reference, summary, report, or other result is complete, accurate, current, suitable, error-free, or appropriate for any particular patient or clinical situation.

6. BURN AREA, TBSA, AND CLINICAL CALCULATIONS

BurnAid includes tools that assist healthcare professionals in estimating burn extent and calculating Total Body Surface Area (TBSA) through interactive burn mapping and assessment features.

The accuracy of such calculations depends upon proper clinical assessment, accurate data entry, appropriate use of the tool, and independent professional verification by the user.

All burn area assessments, TBSA calculations, severity assessments, and related outputs must be independently reviewed and verified by the treating clinician before use in patient care, documentation, handover, or clinical decision-making.

7. MEDICATION DOSE, FLUID RESUSCITATION, AND NUTRITIONAL CALCULATION SUPPORT

BurnAid may provide medication dose calculation-support outputs, fluid resuscitation calculation-support outputs, nutritional calculations, and related clinical reference information based upon user-entered clinical data.

Such outputs are intended solely for professional clinical reference and calculation-support purposes.

Healthcare professionals must independently verify:

• Medication selection
• Drug dosage calculations
• Drug interactions
• Contraindications
• Allergies
• Route, timing, frequency, and administration details
• Fluid requirements and clinical response
• Nutritional requirements
• Patient-specific clinical factors, comorbidities, age, weight, organ function, and institutional protocols

BurnAid does not prescribe medications, authorize treatment, administer care, or replace pharmacist, specialist, institutional, or clinician review.

8. EMERGENCY USE

9. INFORMATION ACCURACY AND UPDATES

Medical knowledge, clinical guidelines, medication information, burn management practices, nutritional practices, and institutional protocols continually evolve.

Although reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate and current information within BurnAid, no warranty or guarantee is provided regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, suitability, or timeliness of any information, calculation, reference, report, or output generated by the platform.

10. REPORTS AND EXPORTS

BurnAid may generate reports, assessments, calculations, summaries, and other documents based on information entered by users.

Reports generated by BurnAid are intended as professional clinical support documents only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for clinical decision-making.

Users are responsible for:

• Verifying calculations, references, summaries, and outputs

• Protecting patient confidentiality

11. PATIENT INFORMATION AND HEALTHCARE PRIVACY

BurnAid is designed to minimize the collection, storage, and retention of patient-identifiable information wherever reasonably practicable.

Patient names, hospital-assigned patient identifiers, and medical record numbers may be processed during active assessment and report-generation workflows. BurnAid is designed not to retain direct patient identifiers in stored historical assessment records after completion of the assessment and report-generation process.

Reports generated, exported, downloaded, printed, emailed, transmitted, or stored outside BurnAid may contain patient-identifying information entered by the user. Responsibility for protecting such reports rests with the healthcare professional or healthcare organization.

Users and healthcare organizations remain responsible for obtaining required consents or authorizations and for ensuring that their use of BurnAid complies with applicable healthcare privacy laws, pediatric privacy requirements, institutional policies, and professional obligations.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

BurnAid may rely upon, utilize, or integrate with third-party infrastructure, cloud hosting providers, payment processors, analytics providers, communication services, app stores, security tools, and other third-party services.

BurnAid is not responsible for the availability, security, performance, content, operation, privacy practices, or terms of third-party services.

Use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms, policies, fees, and privacy practices of those third parties.

13. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

BurnAid is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous availability, error-free operation, compatibility with all devices, compatibility with all operating systems, or availability in all jurisdictions.

Services may be interrupted, modified, limited, suspended, or unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, security incidents, network conditions, third-party service issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BurnAid, its owners, affiliates, licensors, developers, employees, contractors, agents, officers, directors, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, economic, clinical, or other damages arising from or related to:

• Reliance upon platform outputs

• Data entry errors or incomplete information entered by users
• Data loss, privacy incidents, or unauthorized disclosure caused by user action or third-party services
• Service interruptions, unavailability, delays, or technical issues
• Third-party services or integrations

Users assume full responsibility for all clinical decisions, treatment actions, documentation, and patient outcomes arising from their use of BurnAid.

Any limitation of liability shall be applied to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and shall be read together with the BurnAid Terms and Conditions and any applicable agreement.

15. NO WARRANTY

BurnAid is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

BurnAid disclaims warranties relating to:

• Availability
• Completeness
• Timeliness
• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

No warranty is provided that BurnAid will meet specific clinical, institutional, regulatory, technical, operational, or user requirements.

16. MODIFICATIONS

BurnAid may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, replace, or remove features, calculations, references, reports, subscription plans, content, or services from time to time.
